Cookies and storage
Last updated: 14 August 2026
HydrationGuide sets no cookies at all. It does save your calculator inputs in your own browser so a tool remembers what you last entered. This page lists exactly what that means.
Cookies
None. We set no cookies, first-party or third-party, and no third party sets any either: the analytics described below are configured to store nothing on your device. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Local storage
Each calculator saves its own settings to your browser's local storage so your inputs survive a page reload. This data never leaves your device, is readable only by this site, and is not used for analytics, advertising, or profiling.
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
hg:water-inputs | Body weight, exercise, climate, and unit choice on the water intake calculator |
hg:creatine-inputs | Weight, training, and dose phase on the creatine calculator |
hg:hiking-inputs | Time on trail, effort, weather, and unit choice on the hiking calculator |
hg:electrolyte-inputs | Mix style and batch size on the electrolyte calculator |
hg:sweat-inputs | Before and after weights, session length, fluid drunk, and sweat saltiness |
hg:caffeine-inputs | Drink counts, caffeine habit, and unit choice on the caffeine calculator |
To remove it, clear site data for hydrationguide.com in your browser settings, or use private browsing. Nothing breaks if you do; the calculators simply start from their defaults again.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without storing anything on your device. The privacy policy explains what it collects and on what basis.
Google Analytics also counts page views, in a cookieless configuration: it stores nothing on your device, and Google signals and ad personalization are disabled. The privacy policy has the details.
